American Electrical Services becomes main sponsor of Flatwoods Four Trail Run

Inaugural event expected to draw several hundred local runners

1.25.02 -- Tampa, FL - American Electrical Services announced today that it will sponsor the inaugural running of the Flatwoods Four Trail Run to be held 8:30 a.m., Sunday April 14, 2002 at the Flatwoods Wilderness Park in northeast Tampa. 

Says Race Director, Ricky Howe, "This four mile event combines a cross country course with a stunning trail run through the long pines of Flatwoods. We expect to draw from road racers, trail runners, and even mountain bikers for this race".

Flatwoods Wilderness Park has been the host to Florida State Mountain Bike races as well as USF Cross Country meets. This will be the first trail run held at the park, which hundreds of people use every week. There are miles of trails and a paved 7 mile loop, for biking, hiking and running.
